This week I celebrated my 43rd trip round the sun Tuesday and Wednesday. Since it is not a Leap Year, we celebrated both days (kind of).
Monday evening as we were getting ready for bed we noticed that the sump pump was running continuously. The rain had stopped so we were not sure why it is was still running. After opening the crock, we found out why, the pump was bad. I spend most of Monday night checking the sump pump crock making sure it didn't over flow and we have a bigger mess on our hands. Yay! just what I wanted for my birthday. Stupid adulting. Thanks to Lee Plumbing we now have a new sump pump, check valve, and everything is in good working order for several years to come. Too be fair that did last 7 years since we built the house, so guess we can't complain. Just sucks it went on my birthday.
Good news came Wednesday from mom and dad as dads cancer scare came back negative. After his colon surgery to remove a section of his colon, apendix and lymph nodes, all came back clean. That made my day.
As for tonight's Fancy Drink. Well, I went simple yet fun. I was thinking something apple, but didn't want it to be sour so went with the Apple brandy.
